Art of the Terrace 2012
Flying home
This was created as a
submission to the “Arts of the Terrace show”, my first show attenpt in many
years.
This was done on pine boxed 8” X 10”masonite, to get the near water color
wet look the masonite was gessoed. Then coated in layers of absorband ground
with intentional brush streaks to get the feel of wood. The colors are acryllic
using various techniques and layers. I wanted to capture the feel of old beach
art and the colors that living by the sea provide.
